
PLOTINUS
A group in the School that has been studying the works of Plotinus for several years. Plotinus is the greatest and most famous of the Neoplatonic philosophers. Born in Egypt and educated in Alexandria, Plotinus moved to Rome after a failed attempt to go to the East with the Roman Emperor Gordian. In Rome a circle of dedicated students formed around him and they eventually persuaded him to write.
This term we will continue our studies with, “On Difficulties Concerning the Soul”
The study group meets online on Saturday morning from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
