Presence of Mind
Presence of mind is the working surface of practical philosophy. Presence of mind involves a consideration of the faculties of mind that are available to us. What does it mean to be really present, now? What is contained in the present? Can philosophy work at any other time than in the present?
What are the powers and capabilities of a human being living in the present moment?
What can be learned from the past to prepare for the future. The course also deals with the relationship between the past, present and future, and the relationship between cause and effect which arises out of this relationship.
