SANSKRIT RESIDENTIAL WEEK: 4-12 January 2020
All these have Consciousness as the giver of their reality; all these are impelled by Consciousness; the universe has Consciousness as its eye; and Consciousness is its end. Consciousness is Brahman. – (Aitareya Upaniṣad 3.1.3)
The Sydney School of Practical Philosophy is pleased to announce that the Annual Sanskrit Week will be held at Mahratta in Sydney from the afternoon of 4 January until the morning of 12 January 2020.
The Sanskrit Residential Week offers an ideal opportunity for quiet study and simple measure. The main focus for this week is a passage from the Aitareya Upaniṣad which we will chant, discuss, study in depth and reflect on. In this way we hope to experience directly the truth of Advaita Vedanta. For further information view our web page here.
There will also be meditation, morning chanting, the grammar of Panini, and electives related to Sanskrit. All students follow a simple daily programme which includes participating in servicing the kitchen and the house.
If you require transport between the airport and Mahratta, please note that the bus will leave the airport at 2pm on 4 January. The return bus will leave Mahratta at 10am on 12 January. Please book your flights to coincide with these times.
Early Bird: $550 until 30 November
