WHO IS INVITED?
Off the Grid weekend is an invitation only event for students who are currently enrolled in C, D, M & I Level. If you are not sure of your level, click here or ask your tutor.
WHAT IS A RETREAT?
A period of withdrawal from daily life in order to study and practice philosophy.
WHAT WILL I DO AT THE RETREAT?
Meditation, reflection and contemplation.
Discuss some of the great teachings of the world.
Learn how to act creatively, freely and naturally.
WHATS THE SCHEDULE?
Friday - Doors open 7:30pm
Meeting 8:30pm to 9:30pm
Saturday - 6:00am - 9.30pm
Sunday - 6.00am - 4.00pm
WHATS THE COST?
C & D LEVEL: $50 for the weekend
M & I LEVEL: Included in your course as complimentary
WHATS INCLUDED?
Talks, sessions, meals and accommodation (limited to 50 beds).
CAN I ATTEND JUST ONE OF THE DAYS?
No, this retreat runs from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, and you need to be here for the full period to benefit from the retreat.
STAY ONSITE OR AT HOME?
You are welcome to stay at home or at Mahratta, but you need be at Mahratta by 0600 each morning. The cost is the same.
LINEN AND TOWELS
Please bring your own linen and towel if you are staying at Mahratta.
WHAT TO BRING
An enquiring mind, an open heart, a notebook and a pen.
MEALS
All meals will be vegetarian and with gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free options available. Mahratta is meat-free.
DRESS
Smart casual for the evenings, and some hardier shoes and clothing in case of outdoor activities during the days.
