Australasian Sanskrit Residential Week 2027
Discover for yourself the transformative power of the original language of the Vedas. Come and join like-minded students in the study of a few verses from the Upaniṣads, presented in its original language.
The study for the Australasian Online Sanskrit Week will be three verses from the Muṇḍaka Upaniṣad starting with verse 3.1.7:
‘It is great and self-effulgent; and Its form is unthinkable. It is subtler than the subtle. It shines diversely. It is farther away than the far-off, and It is near at hand in this body. Among sentient beings It is (perceived as) seated in this very body, in the cavity of the heart.’
Study is offered at all levels. Full notes will be provided. The program includes study of and reflection upon the verses from the Upaniṣad, chanting, guest speakers and plenary meetings.
Please bring the following if you have them:
• A Dhātupāṭhaḥ
• A Sanskrit pen
• A Monier Williams Sanskrit dictionary (local students)
