The Wisdom of the Bible

The Wisdom of the Bible (2 classes) explores the scriptures of the Judeo Christian tradition.

The Book of Judges is set in the turbulent period before Israel had kings, and traces a recurring cycle of forgetfulness, collapse, and deliverance. Periods of courage and faith stand alongside times of moral confusion and violence. Judges exposes the fragility of the human heart and the consequences of a people left to their own direction. It is a story of spiritual disintegration and the longing for true order.

“In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes.”
(Judges 21:25)
