SUPPORT

Once you've commenced mediating, the School will support you in the practice with one-on-one tutorials, small group sessions and meditation retreats. This support will be available for as long as you wish. In providing you with the meditation, the School undertakes the obligation of supporting you in the practice for life.

The purpose of the tutorials is to help establish good and enjoyable meditation. The tutorials also enable meditators to connect with the deeper experience of mediation and to clear any queries or problems. The frequency of the tutorials will decrease as the practice becomes established, although you may request an appointment at any time.

MASTERING MEDITATION ONLINE WORKSHOP

In order to continue the support of meditation and facilitate its practice and mastery, a meditation workshop is hosted online via Zoom.

This workshop is only available to students who have received the meditation practice through the School of Practical Philosophy. There is no charge for attendance at the workshop.

The program will include simple strategies to clear the way for the meditation to work, support in the refinement of the practice and guidance from those who have been established practitioners for many years.

Above all, the workshop, which lasts approx. 1.25 hours will give you the chance to practice meditation in a totally supportive environment in the company of like-minded people.

Dates for 2020 are 19 April, 09 August and 29 November

The workshop will commence at 9am.

SANSKRIT RESIDENTIAL WEEK: 4-12 January 2020

The Sydney School of Practical Philosophy is pleased to announce that the Annual Sanskrit Week will be held at Mahratta, in Sydney, from the afternoon of 4 January until the morning of 12 January 2020. Conditions apply.

THE REPUBLIC BOOK 8:
3 NOVEMBER

Now that Socrates has finished describing the just city, he returns to the task of describing the four unjust constitutions of city and man. Wahroonga, arrive 8.30 and finish 3pm. Lunch and Tea Breaks are included in the ticket price.

SATSANGA WEEKEND:
8-10 NOVEMBER

This weekend is for meditating students in Canberra - enrolled in M Level, Way of Life and The Way of Action. The weekend commences 8.30pm, Friday 8 November. Your guest tutors for the weekend will be Mr Bill Fox and Mrs Ann Fox.

SATTVA MORNING:
CANBERRA

‘Sattva’ is one of the fundamental forces or energies running through everything. This half-day workshop is for anyone currently enrolled in Canberra and is on Sunday 1 December from 9am to 12noon.

CHRISTMAS PARTY:

You're invited to our Christmas Party. Its an opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow travellers in an congenial atmosphere and an opportunity to join in some singing.

Year 1: Course 2 After completing The Wisdom Within course, the next course is Sustainable Happiness. The course focuses the perennial need to find happiness through all of life’s changing circumstances.
